The show includes original and cover songs and backstage stories\, and surprises. John will feature songs from his twelve albums\, tales from his Las Vegas shows\, television variety appearances\, and his roles in Walt Disney movie musicals. Each song is enhanced using our multimedia video screen. It’s an evening of comedy\, inspiration\, and nostalgia. And each show is unique! \n>>John will be supported at his shows by bass player John Petruzzelli. Here’s a bit about (the other) John: John Petruzzelli is a multi-instrumentalist who has taught and performed in Carroll Country region for the last twenty years. He holds two degrees\, one in recording technology and another in jazz studies. John owns and operates a recording studio in Wolfeboro where he engineers and coaches aspiring artists in all avenues of music. Growing up by the lake\, under the banner of the Great Waters music festival\, John witnessed some legendary musicians come through the town of Wolfeboro\, stars like Chuck Mangione\, John Pizzarelli and Bradford Marsalis inspired him to play and perform at any chance he could. At Club Sandwich\, JP will support JD on upright bass\, providing a solid foundation\, and a complimentary musical voice to showcase some of America’s greatest tunes. \nAfter the show you can say hi to John\, take selfies\, and of course he’ll be glad to autograph any merchandise purchased at our gift shop. SUMMARY:Dichroic Glass Pendants with Lynn Haust
DESCRIPTION:Join artist Lynn Haust for a two-day class on Saturday\, September 2nd\, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.\, and Sunday\, September 3rd\, from 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm. Learn to make your own Dichroic Glass Pendants. Melting glass\, also known as the ancient art of kiln forming\, is fun and addictive. This fast-paced class will give you a chance to explore this art and many of the techniques that make melting glass so exciting. Using clear and black Bullseye glass as a base\, you will design and create a collection of pendants out of dichroic\, transparent\, and opaque glass. Safety\, firing\, and glass information will be covered. Work hard and have fun creating your own pieces! Day 1: You will cut the dichroic glass to create color and design. The glass will then be fully fused into two large squares. Day 2: You will cold work the glass by cutting and shaping it into pendants. The pieces will be fired a second time to fire polish the glass into finished pendants. Your pendants will be fired and annealed off-site and you will be notified when they are available for pick up within a few days after the class. Tuition is $150.00 per student and all materials are included. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Please contact the gallery at 603-279-7920 to register. Those who wish to take the class MUST sign up by Monday\, August 28th.

What to expect: In this class\, you will learn the basics of how to create images with fiber using a simple tapestry loom. You will weave a tiny tapestry from start to finish and leave with your loom warped and ready to start a new project at home. Who should attend: Anyone interested in learning the foundational skills of tapestry weaving is encouraged to attend. If you’ve never touched a loom in your life\, this class is for you. If you are an experienced hand-weaver\, you will discover a new way to enjoy your loom. About the Instructor: Lisa Almeida discovered tapestry weaving in 2017. She was immediately captivated by the joy of creating images with fiber and has been weaving nearly every day since. She is a member and past Director of Exhibitions of the American Tapestry Alliance\, and a juried member of the League of NH Craftsmen. Her work is sold and exhibited locally and nationally.
