This is your opportunity to get out into the field\, celebrate SLA work done in 2023\, look toward what’s next and learn how you might join the effort to protect the place we all cherish and love. \nCotton Mountain Hike\nLocation: Meet at Cotton Mountain trailhead parking lot. Click here for a google map. \nThis trail is on the private property of Burleigh\, LLP who generously allows public access along the trails maintained by the SLA. \nRegistration: Registration required and closes at 9:00 am\, December 11th. Space is limited to 10. Click here to register. \nThis Week’s Program:  \nJoin SLA’s Communication & Outreach Coordinator Rachel Coughlin for a morning hike up Cotton Mountain! Learn about SLA’s volunteer programs and opportunities\, and about the recent invasive species maintenance done at the Cotton Mountain Trailhead. This is a great opportunity to check off Cotton Mountain from your Squam Rangers Checklist as well! Not a Squam Ranger? Chat with Rachel about it on your way up (don’t worry\, you can count this hike retroactively!) \nThis is a 1.3 mile out and back trail and can be a bit steep at times. \nWhat to Bring: Weather appropriate clothing\, hiking boots\, snacks & water.
